A box plot has minimum 8, lower quartile 14, median 22, upper quartile 25 and maximum 33. Work out the interquartile range.
- 2Reverse Percentages3 marks
A bill is £120 including VAT at 20%. Work out the amount before VAT.
- 3Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = 8/x, work out y when x = 4, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 27. Work out y when x = 6.
- 5Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 4. The larger has a volume of 1792 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
