A town's population is 27500 and grows by 8% each year. Work out the population after 5 years, to the nearest whole number.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The smaller has an area of 22 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
29 students study Spanish and 12 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Histograms2 marks
A histogram class is 4 units wide and contains 6 values. Work out the frequency density.
- 5Standard Form3 marks
Work out (72 x 10^9) / (8 x 10^4). Give your answer in standard form.
