A town's population is 23000 and grows by 8% each year. Work out the population after 5 years, to the nearest whole number.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The smaller has an area of 17 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
20 students study Spanish and 12 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Histograms2 marks
A histogram class is 10 units wide and contains 20 values. Work out the frequency density.
- 5Recurring Decimals to Fractions3 marks
Write the recurring decimal 0.777... as a fraction in its simplest form.
