Work out (8 x 10^4) x (3 x 10^2). Give your answer in standard form.

Work out the discriminant of 4x^2 + x + 12 = 0 and say how many real solutions it has.
- 5Speed and Density2 marks
A block has volume 120 cm^3 and density 7.5 g/cm^3. Work out its mass.
