How to choose
Start with the exam board and course structure. Revision Library's printable RS packs are strongest for AQA 8062 Religious Studies A, while past-paper practice on the site covers AQA, WJEC and Eduqas. Do not assume Edexcel or OCR support from this worksheet route, and do not print a theme sheet until you know whether the student studies Christianity, Islam or another religion for that unit.
Check whether the worksheet trains the right answer type. An explain two contrasting beliefs question needs two different viewpoints, each developed with accurate religious knowledge. An explain two similar beliefs question needs the shared idea to be made clear without pretending the traditions are identical. A sheet that only asks for definitions will not practise that judgement.
Look carefully at sources of wisdom and authority. A useful printed sheet should ask students to use quotations, teachings or examples accurately, not just sprinkle a quotation anywhere in the answer. The mark scheme should show whether the source supports the point and whether the explanation has connected it to the question.
For 12 mark evaluation, avoid sheets that leave no planning space. Students need to build arguments for and against the statement, weigh religious and non-religious viewpoints where relevant, and finish with a justified conclusion. Because SPaG marks attach to this answer type, the worksheet should encourage clear paragraphs and precise specialist vocabulary.
Match the format to the stage of revision.
