- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 5 units wide with frequency density 2.5, one 5 units wide with density 0.6. How many values in total?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A car covers 370 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 4 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Quadratic Simultaneous Equations3 marks
Solve x^2 + y^2 = 169 and y = x - 7 simultaneously.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
On a velocity-time graph a car speeds up in a straight line from 5 m/s to 9 m/s over 8 seconds. Work out the acceleration.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the alternate segment theorem is being proved. State the reason being quoted.
