Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 2) with x(0) = 2. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 4. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides 10 cm, 15 cm and 13 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 10 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 2 red and n blue counters. The probability of taking a red is 1/3. Work out n.
