The papers above are scoped by grade band. These are scoped by teaching point instead: each one leaves out content a student at that stage has not met yet, so a mock in the middle of the course tests what has actually been covered.
AS and A Level are separate qualifications with different assessed content, so this split follows the specification rather than a teaching convention. Grounded in Edexcel's 8MA0/9MA0 split, which this repo's docs/question-generation-instructions.md names as the house style and explicitly excludes normal-distribution inference, integration by parts and parametrics from AS - the headline boundaries used here (general binomial, addition formulae, chain/product/quotient rule, 3D vectors, the normal distribution, moments) also hold across AQA and OCR. I'm less certain of the precise internal edge within "kinematics" and "forces-newtons-laws", specifically how much of projectiles, friction and inclined-plane work belongs to each topic's Year-2 half, since the source material names the exclusions rather than enumerating every sub-skill.
