The papers above are scoped by grade band. These are scoped by teaching point instead: each one leaves out content a student at that stage has not met yet, so a mock in the middle of the course tests what has actually been covered.
These bands are a typical teaching order, not a syllabus rule. No exam board defines what belongs to Year 10, and schools sequence the course differently. Check the split against your own scheme of work before using it to decide what a class has covered. This Year 10 / Year 11 split is a scheme-of-work convention, not a specification rule: no GCSE Geography board mandates a teaching order, so which topics a given centre has actually finished by the end of Year 10 depends on that school's own curriculum plan, staffing and fieldwork calendar, and genuinely varies between centres. I am least confident about glacial-landscapes: where it is taught at all (some centres do only rivers and coasts as their two landscape options), it usually sits in the same UK-physical-landscapes block as those two, so plenty of schools will have covered it in Year 10 too, even though I have placed it in the Year-11-only addition here. Geographical skills is also taught continuously rather than completed at any single point, so calling it an early topic only reflects where it is first introduced, not where it stops being taught. Treat this split as a reasonable default for seeding a Year 10 paper, not as a factual claim about any specific school's real coverage.
