On Monday morning, Ali felt happy because his class was going on a trip to the city museum. The coach was enormous, so there was room for the whole class to sit together. When they arrived, Mr Patel said, 'Stay close together and walk quietly through the halls.' Ali gazed at a huge dinosaur skeleton that towered above the visitors. His friend Noor giggled when she spotted a tiny model of a Roman soldier, no bigger than her thumb. In the next room, the class found a display of shiny coins that gleamed under the bright lights. Ali felt tired after climbing the museum stairs, but he was too excited to rest. Outside, a noisy fire engine raced past the museum windows, and everybody rushed to look. 'That was a loud siren!' exclaimed Noor. By the time the coach arrived to take them home, the sky had turned grey and the air felt chilly. Ali was scared of missing the coach, so he hurried quickly across the car park. He climbed aboard just in time and sank into his seat with a happy sigh. It had been an amazing day, and Ali could not wait to tell his family all about it.
