Papers scoped to what has been taught

The papers above are scoped by grade band. These are scoped by teaching point instead: each one leaves out content a student at that stage has not met yet, so a mock in the middle of the course tests what has actually been covered.

These bands are a typical teaching order, not a syllabus rule. No exam board defines what belongs to Year 10, and schools sequence the course differently. Check the split against your own scheme of work before using it to decide what a class has covered. This Year 10/Year 11 split is my own inference about typical scheme-of-work sequencing, not something any exam board specification states: GCSE Computer Science specifications describe content, not a two-year teaching calendar, so different centres genuinely order and pace these topics differently depending on staffing, timetabling, and whether they interleave the computer-systems and programming strands across both years rather than blocking them by year. Treat this as a reasonable default, not a fact about any real school. I am least confident about networks-topologies specifically: it has no internal prerequisite forcing it into Year 10, so some schools teach it later, closer to cyber security, rather than as foundational early content, and I would not treat that particular placement as settled.
