Name: _______________________________    Date: ____ / ____ / ______
Each question in this set shows a sequence of letters, a series of numbers, an alphabet position puzzle, or a mixed letter-and-number code, and each follows its own hidden rule. Work out the rule connecting the terms you are given (a fixed step, a growing or shrinking gap, a multiplying or dividing rule, an alternating pattern, or a rule linking a letter to its position number), then choose the option, A to E, that continues the pattern correctly. This is the fourth set in the series and includes some sequences where the alphabet wraps around from Z back to A. Every question is worth 1 mark.
Worked example. Find the letter that continues the sequence: W, Z, C, F, ( ? ) A) H B) I C) G D) J E) K Answer: B) I. Each letter's position increases by 3, wrapping back to A after Z: W=23, Z=26, then 26+3=29, and since the alphabet only has 26 letters, 29-26=3, which is C. Continuing, C+3=6=F, and F+3=9=I. Option A (H=8) is one position too low; option C (G=7) is two too low; option D (J=10) is one too high; option E (K=11) is two too high.
