Zara's Busy Morning

Zara woke up early on Saturday morning. She put on her yellow coat and her red boots. Zara and her brother Sam walked to the market with their mum. A small cat sat on the wall near the gate. At the market, a friendly stallholder called Mr Owusu sold apples, bread and cheese. Zara picked a shiny apple and a warm loaf of bread. Sam wanted to see the hens in the farmer's pen. The hens clucked loudly by the fence. Zara put the apple and the bread into her basket. Then the family walked home to their cosy house for lunch.
