Sports Day at Elm Class

Source written for Revision Library (original, copyright-free). Written for Year 1 grammar practice, July 2026.

It was Sports Day at Elm Class. The sun shone and the sky was blue.

Leo ran to the start line. Mia jumped over the small hurdles. Tom hopped on one foot across the grass.

'Ready, steady, go!' shouted Miss Ahmed.

The children raced to the finish line. Leo won the race and everyone clapped.

Later, Mia skipped with her friends and Tom drank some cold water. It was a fun day for the whole class.
