Papers scoped to what has been taught

The papers above are scoped by grade band. These are scoped by teaching point instead: each one leaves out content a student at that stage has not met yet, so a mock in the middle of the course tests what has actually been covered.

AS and A Level are separate qualifications with different assessed content, so this split follows the specification rather than a teaching convention. Pearson's own specification PDF was blocked in this environment (qualifications.pearson.com), so the claim that political ideas are examined only at full A-level, not AS, rests on secondary sources and search summaries rather than a verbatim spec read; one summary I found even asserted the opposite before a more specific source corrected it. The within-AS ordering (constitution before Parliament and devolution, both before the Prime Minister/Executive, with relations-between-branches held back as the only topic needing all three) is cross-checked against this repository's own prerequisites/nextTopics graph in public/topic-explainers-a-level-politics.json, an independent source that agrees with it, which is what I trust most here. I am least confident about devolution-multilevel-governance specifically: my only AS-specific evidence for it was a single secondhand mark-scheme reference rather than a specification clause, so if the real board actually reserves it for A2 alongside relations-between-branches, earlyTopicIds should be 7 topics rather than 8 (still comfortably above the required minimum of 6).
