Which site should I use?

Best GCSE Maths Revision Websites

There is no single best GCSE maths revision website, because teaching, practice, past papers and feedback are four different jobs and no free site does all four best. Corbettmaths and Maths Genie lead on free video teaching paired with worksheets, and Revision Library's own packs are the strongest option for grade-banded printable practice with a full mark scheme. Most students end up combining two or three of the sites below rather than relying on one.

This comparison is published by Revision Library, and Revision Library appears on the list below.

How this list was made

This list compares eight GCSE maths resources on the four things students actually need: teaching, printable practice, past papers, and a way to check their own work. Every site listed was checked on 30 August 2026.

The full comparison

Corbettmaths

Best for free daily worksheet practice

Corbettmaths is a free maths site built around short video lessons, the well-known '5-a-day' daily practice questions, and topic worksheets and exam-style questions for Primary, GCSE, A Level and Further Maths. The core site needs no account; a separate shop sells physical revision cards and books.

The '5-a-day' format and a video lesson alongside most topics make Corbettmaths a strong default for regular practice, entirely free and with no account.

Maths Genie

Best for free topic-by-topic video lessons

Maths Genie is a GCSE and A Level maths site with past papers, topic worksheets, video lessons and revision guides across several exam boards. A free account adds features like progress tracking, but the core teaching and practice material can be browsed without one.

Maths Genie pairs a short video with almost every GCSE topic and adds a large past-paper archive across several exam boards; a free account layers on progress tracking.

Revision Library

Best for grade-banded worksheet packs

Revision Library's GCSE Maths library splits every topic into foundation, crossover and higher packs, so a student is working from the grade band their paper actually sets rather than a single undifferentiated sheet. Every pack ends with a full, itemised mark scheme.

For a student aiming at the top grades, the grade 9 hub gathers the higher-tier material that decides that boundary. For everyone else, the topic frequency tool shows which topics are examined most often by each board, which is the kind of data a free worksheet site does not usually publish.

None of this replaces a video lesson: for a student who wants the method explained first, pairing a Revision Library topic guide or a site like Corbettmaths with the Pack Builder for practice afterwards covers both halves of the job.

Dr Frost Maths

Best for teacher-set online homework and quizzes

Dr Frost Maths (now at drfrost.org, having moved from its former drfrostmaths.com domain) is a maths teaching platform for Upper Key Stage 2 to A Level, with video lessons, worksheets and a very large bank of generated and real exam-board questions. Full homework, marking and analytics tools are set up through a school or teacher account; a free trial is offered.

Dr Frost's very large bank of generated and real exam questions is often set as homework through a school account, alongside free worksheets and video lessons.

MathsBot

Best for randomised, on-demand worksheet generation

MathsBot is a free set of online maths tools built by a UK maths teacher, including a randomised worksheet and exam-question generator.

MathsBot generates a fresh worksheet on demand rather than a fixed sheet, which is useful for extra practice on a topic without repeating the same questions, and needs no account.

Physics and Maths Tutor (PMT)

Best for exam-style question sheets by topic

Physics and Maths Tutor (PMT) is a free resource site with revision notes, worksheets and past-paper questions sorted by topic and exam board, across maths, the sciences and several other GCSE/A Level subjects. It also sells separate paid tutoring, crash courses and printed workbooks alongside the free material.

PMT's free notes and past-paper questions are sorted by topic and exam board, which suits revision closer to the exam.

Save My Exams

Best for revision guides alongside practice papers

Save My Exams is a revision platform for GCSE, IGCSE and AS/A Level, with revision notes, exam-style questions, flashcards, mock exams and past papers across more than two dozen subjects. A free account gives access to some content; a paid Premium tier unlocks the rest.

Save My Exams pairs board-specific revision notes with exam-style questions and past papers; a free account gives access to some of it, and a paid Premium tier unlocks the rest.

How to choose

For last-minute revision the night before a topic test, a short, free set of questions - Corbettmaths' '5-a-day' or a single Revision Library worksheet - is enough on its own.

For the best video teaching, Corbettmaths and Maths Genie both pair a lesson with practice on the same topic, at no cost.

None of the sites on this list need payment for their core material; Dr Frost's homework and analytics tools and Save My Exams' Premium tier are the two places a school or a family might choose to pay for something extra.

For a board-specific paper, Maths Genie and PMT both sort past papers by exam board; Revision Library's own past-paper tool and predicted papers add topic frequency on top of that.

Frequently asked questions

Which is best for last-minute revision?+
A short, focused set of questions beats a long session the night before an exam. Corbettmaths' '5-a-day' format and a single Revision Library worksheet on the weakest topic both do that job well.
Which has the best video teaching?+
Corbettmaths and Maths Genie both pair a short video lesson with almost every GCSE topic, entirely free.
Do I need to pay for any of them?+
The core teaching and practice material on every site listed here is free. Dr Frost's homework and marking tools need a school account, and Save My Exams' Premium tier is paid; everything else stays free throughout.
Which follows my exam board?+
Maths Genie and PMT sort past papers by board. Revision Library's packs are written to exam-style conventions that suit AQA, Edexcel and OCR rather than being tied to one.
