What is official, and what is our reconstruction

  • Officially confirmed: multiple choice with five options A to E, around 45 minutes, no calculator, no rough paper, and content broadly based on the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • The question count and the total marks are not published. Fifty questions is the most widely repeated figure and fits the timing, but it is an estimate.
  • The school's own worked commentary repeatedly solves questions by elimination - ruling options out on parity, last digit or rough size rather than calculating in full. That is the defining habit this paper rewards, and our mocks are built so that it pays off.
  • The official sample states plainly that it does not show every question type used in recent years.

The papers

The set is a ladder, not interchangeable papers. Work through them in order: the early papers are for getting used to the format, and the last is a genuinely competitive simulation.
