204 597 swaps the last two digits, putting the larger digit earlier, so it is greater than 204 579.

A unit sanity check says a small flag cannot have an area of 48 or 96 square metres. Those answers mix centimetres and metres.
0.96 square metres is the area of the surrounding rectangle and forgets to halve. 0.048 square metres divides by 10 once too many during the conversion.
