The Surprise Parcel

Priya heard a loud knock at the door. A big parcel was waiting on the step outside. She called for her brother, Tomas. Tomas ran down the stairs to see what it was. The parcel was addressed to both of them. Priya carefully cut the tape with scissors. Inside was a shiny kite, striped red and gold. Tomas jumped up and down with excitement. Their dog, Rex, sniffed at the wrapping paper on the floor. It was the best surprise of the whole week.
