On Tuesday, the Year 2 children from Elm Tree School travelled from Sandbrook to Robin Hill Farm. Their teacher, Mrs Kaur, checked the register before the coach set off.
Layla sat next to Tomas. They watched the fields go by until the coach turned down a bumpy lane beside the River Otter.
Farmer Wells was waiting at the gate with his sheepdog, Milo. 'Welcome to Robin Hill Farm,' he said. 'You have come on a lovely day in June.'
The children fed the lambs, stroked Milo, and watched Farmer Wells milk a cow named Buttercup. Mrs Kaur took photographs to show the rest of Elm Tree School.
Before they left, Layla waved to Farmer Wells and said, 'Thank you for a brilliant day, Farmer Wells!' Tomas agreed that Robin Hill Farm was the best trip of the year.
