Where do I get printable practice?

Printable GCSE Geography Worksheets

A printable GCSE Geography worksheet earns its place when the evidence is printed with the question. Ordnance Survey map work needs the extract on the page, graph and data interpretation needs the figure in front of the student, and fieldwork answers need the student's own enquiry details beside the mark scheme.

How this list was made

This guide was written and reviewed on 16 September 2026. I judged each resource by the parts of GCSE Geography that reading alone does not fix: OS map extracts, grid references, graph and data interpretation, named case studies, fieldwork enquiry and levels-marked 6 and 9 mark answers. The Revision Library notes refer only to the GCSE Geography routes here and to the current AQA and WJEC paper coverage available on the site.

Revision Library

Best for free printable practice with mark schemes

GCSE Geography is unusually suited to print because so many marks depend on handling evidence. A student needs to look at the map, graph, photo, table or fieldwork data while writing, not remember a tiny screenshot from another tab. The GCSE Geography library is useful when the task is to print focused practice with a mark scheme and mark the written answer afterwards.

The format matters most for skills. Four and six figure grid references, scale, contours, direction, climate graphs, population data, resource-use charts and fieldwork results all work better when the figure stays visible on the paper. The Geography Pack Builder is the route to use when a student needs a small set of printable tasks around one skill or topic rather than a mixed revision session.

Case studies are the other reason to be selective. A worksheet can test coastal management, urban change, development or hazards well only if it asks for named evidence and gives enough space for a developed answer. For 6 and 9 mark questions, the mark scheme has to use levels, because the examiner is judging explanation, evidence, structure and sometimes evaluation rather than one correct sentence.

Revision Library's GCSE Geography paper coverage here is currently AQA and WJEC only, so it should not be treated as an Edexcel, OCR or Eduqas paper source. Use Geography past-paper practice when board format is the issue, and use worksheets when the problem is narrower: a graph, an OS extract, fieldwork wording or a case-study paragraph that needs improving.

Before printing, the GCSE Geography diagnostic can help identify whether the gap is knowledge, data handling or extended writing. After printing, the Geography topic guides, Geography flashcards, GCSE Geography revision plan and Geography revision formats keep the follow-up varied without losing sight of the marked answer.

BBC Bitesize

Best for broad free coverage across every UK curriculum

BBC Bitesize is the BBC's free revision service, covering GCSE-level subjects in England and the equivalent qualifications in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with revision guides, video, audio and quizzes across a very broad subject range.

BBC Bitesize is strong when a Geography student needs to revisit the process before attempting a worksheet, such as river erosion, urban change, hazards or ecosystems. It is less worksheet-led when the student needs a printed OS extract, a full graph or a levels-marked 9 mark answer to annotate and improve.

Save My Exams

Best for revision guides alongside practice papers

Save My Exams is a revision platform for GCSE, IGCSE and AS/A Level, with revision notes, exam-style questions, flashcards, mock exams and past papers across more than two dozen subjects. A free account gives access to some content; a paid Premium tier unlocks the rest.

Save My Exams can help when a student wants notes, exam-style questions, flashcards, mock exams and past papers around the same Geography topic. It is especially worth checking against the school's named case studies and fieldwork route, because those local details decide whether a printed task is usable.

Seneca Learning

Best for free AI-marked practice questions

Seneca Learning is a free-to-use revision platform with interactive courses, an AI-marked question bank and an AI study companion; a paid Premium upgrade adds further features. Its own level list runs from Primary and KS3 through the 11+, GCSE and iGCSE to A Level and the IB.

Seneca suits short checks on processes, key terms and topic knowledge, and that can be useful before a longer written task. It does not replace a printed map, graph or fieldwork data set where the student needs to measure, interpret and justify an answer by hand.

Tes (Teaching Resources marketplace)

Best for teacher-shared resources across many subjects

Tes Teaching Resources is a marketplace of resources uploaded by individual teachers, spanning early years to secondary and special needs, rather than a single curated corpus. Free and paid resources are listed side by side.

Tes can be helpful for teachers looking for map-skills sheets, case-study activities or classroom fieldwork resources across Geography topics. Because anyone can contribute, each resource needs checking for specification fit, data accuracy, answer guidance and whether the case study matches the student's course.

How to choose

Start by asking what the worksheet puts on the page. For OS map work, the extract must be printed clearly enough to read grid lines, contours, symbols and scale. For graph work, the graph or data table needs to be present, not described in prose.

Then check the case-study demand. Good Geography practice names places, facts, impacts and management responses rather than asking for a generic paragraph about a topic. If your school uses a different named example, adapt the sheet or choose another one.

Treat fieldwork separately from ordinary topic practice. A fieldwork worksheet should connect to the student's own enquiry question, site, sampling method, data collection, presentation, analysis and evaluation. Generic fieldwork prompts help only if the student can attach their real investigation to them.

Use the mark scheme to decide whether the page is worth printing. Short skills questions can have fixed answers, but 6 and 9 mark responses should be marked in levels, with credit for explanation, evidence, structure and judgement.

When a student is preparing for full papers, move from one focused worksheet to GCSE Geography practice papers. The current Geography paper coverage here is AQA and WJEC only, so students on other boards should use their board's official archive for original papers.

Frequently asked questions

Why do GCSE Geography worksheets need the map or graph printed?+
Because the skill is reading evidence, not remembering it. Grid references, scale, contour patterns, climate graphs, population pyramids and data tables all need to stay visible while the student works through the answer.
How should I revise fieldwork with a printable worksheet?+
Use the worksheet as a frame, then add the real details from your enquiry: location, question, sampling, data collection, presentation, results, reliability and improvements. Fieldwork answers are personal to the investigation your school completed.
What makes a 9 mark Geography worksheet useful?+
It should provide evidence to use, enough writing space and a levels-based mark scheme. The answer needs explanation, named examples and a judgement, so a one-line answer key is not enough.
Which GCSE Geography papers are available here?+
Revision Library's current GCSE Geography paper coverage is AQA and WJEC only. Students on Edexcel, OCR or Eduqas should use their exam board's official archive for original past papers and mark schemes.
