GCSE Physical Education Worksheets
Choose from 54 GCSE Physical Education worksheet packs, covering 531 printable pages. This view is for finding a focused sheet to print: each PDF keeps one topic together and ends with its own full mark scheme.
How to use these worksheets
- Pick one skill that matches the lesson or the gap you have found. Open the pack page first if you want to check the level and length before using paper.
- Print the PDF and set a clear stopping point. A single focused GCSE Physical Education sheet usually gives better evidence than a long mixed booklet when you are checking whether one method is secure.
- Mark it with the scheme at the back. Keep the questions that were missed, write down the reason, then return to that skill with a new pack instead of repeating answers the student already knows.

A basketball player performs a chest pass. Using your knowledge of the muscular system, identify the agonist, the antagonist and the joint action at the elbow during the pushing phase of the pass.
- Identify the joint being used: the elbow.
- Identify the movement at the elbow during the push: extension, since the arm straightens.
- Identify the agonist for elbow extension: the triceps brachii, as it is the muscle contracting concentrically to straighten the arm.
- Identify the antagonist: the biceps brachii, since it must relax and lengthen to allow the triceps to shorten and extend the elbow.
- State the full answer: agonist = triceps brachii, antagonist = biceps brachii, joint action = extension.
